#109 – Walking in a Winter Wonderland

Here in Finland, the promised land for snow and coldness, an essential part of the   looooooooong winter is wearing the right choices. And one of those choices is shoes that are 1) moisture-proof 2) keeps feets snug. And well… when it comes to shoes {or clothes. Or bags. Or other accessories.}  I’m quite appearance-centered -after all; you need to have the nerve to show those shoes in public too.

Over the years my shoe library  has developed quite well and whether it is sunny or snowbound, they are on standby. But then again, there’s always some got-to-have-individuals{yes, I am still talking about shoes : — D} whom I try so hard to validate to the voice of rationalist mine. And to my spouse. {The latter one is the hardest one to talk over…}

It seems that   the got-to-have-feeling is reflex of mine that is perpetual-motion feeling 
-perhaps one of those fashion blogger’s occupational diseases? ; — )

To this day, I’ve managed to avoid   call notes but of course I needed to fly in the face of the shoe rehab of mine by doing some window shopping in virtual boutiques. And suddenly I have the got-to-buy-some-of-these-shoes-below feeling;

Täällä lumen ja kylmyyden luvatussa maassa   olennaisimmat seikat {ainakin itselleni} kenkiä valitessa ovat kosteuden sietokyky sekä kylmyyden torjuminen. No okei, myönnettäköön, että kenkien {ja vaatteiden. Ja laukkujen. Ja asusteiden.}  valintaprosessissa olen sangen ulkonäkökeskeinenkin.  
After all:  niiden kanssahan tulisi kehdata esiintyä myös julkisestikin
-muuallakin kuin pimeillä sivukujilla tai lähikaupassa.

Kengästöni on vuosien varrella kehittynyt varsin  valmiustilalliseksi aina pakahduttavista kesäpäivistä loskantäyteiseen kevääseen saakka. Toisaalta siitä myös auttamattomasti uupuu niitä muutamia Pakko Saada-yksilöitä, joita yritän kovasti perustella myös sille järjenäänellenikin. Ja puolisolleni. {Jälkimmäinen lienee se vaikein ympäripuhuttava…}
Lienee tuo pakko-saada-fiilis refleksoitunut, ikiliikkujamainen tunne
-kenties yksi niistä muotibloggaajaan ammattitaudeista? ; — ) 

Toistaiseksi olen välttynyt houkutuksilta, mutta pitihän sitä  kenkä-rehabilitaatiotani uhmatakin käylähtämällä ikkunashoppailemassa virtuaaliputiikeissa, ja tässäpä lopputulosta;
